TVA policy mandates that private property on private property below the 820 foot level of on the Fort Loudon and Tellico reservoir shorelines must be destroyed without regards to whether TVA has any interests, even if TVA officials indicated"TVA doesn't care" about it being built, even though lake levels have never in seventy years approached the site of this private property, and even if it would be totally unaffected if unprecedented flooding actually occurred.
Mandates are based on seventy year old deeds that have been obsoleted by the three generations of economic development that has occurred on these lakes. In addition, the connection between TVA's claimed rights and their mandate to destroy has gross logical flaws.
The next series of posts will detail why these seventy year old deeds define rights that exist only on paper and not in the real world and how the mandates TVA claims based on these rights are non sequiturs.
